[1] This case grows out of a written guaranty by the Gilchrist Company, the bankrupt, to the William Fi-lene’9 Sons Company, hereinafter called the Filene Company, of a ■lease executed by the latter to the William S. Butler Company of premises at the southwest corner of Washington and Winter streets, in the ■city of Boston. All three were Massachusetts corporations engaged in carrying on dry goods department stores.
