Proceeding pursuant to CPLR article 78 (transferred to this court by order of the Supreme Court, entered in Albany County) to review a determination of respondent which, inter alia, denied petitioner’s application for ordinary disability retirement benefits.

In November 1976, petitioner was employed by Brooklyn Developmental Center as a recreation worker and was enrolled as a member in the New York State Employees’ Retirement System.
