Plaintiff, Timothy E. Wells, appeals a judgment of the circuit court of Lake County that affirmed the judgment of the Board of Trustees of the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (collectively with its members, defendant) terminating his retirement benefits pursuant to section 7 — 219 of the Illinois Pension Code (Code) (40 ILCS 5/7 — 219 (West 2000)).
