OPINION

This is an appeal from a district court order appointing respondent Connie E. P. as general guardian of D.R.G., a minor child. Connie is the child’s maternal aunt. Appellant Dwight G., the child’s natural father, appeals arguing that the district court erred by failing to observe the parental preference of NRS 159.061 and that there was no clear evidence in the record to support a finding that it was in the child’s best interest to award guardianship to Connie.
