RUCKER, Justice.

Summary

A jury convicted Benny Saylor of murder, felony murder, robbery, and confinement in the 1992 stabbing death of Judy VanDuyn. Over the jury's contrary recommendation, the trial court sentenced Saylor to death, and we affirmed the convictions and sentence on direct appeal. Saylor v. State, 686 N.E.2d 80 (Ind.1997). Thereafter, Saylor filed a petition for post-conviction relief, which the post-conviction court denied after a hearing.
