FAY, Circuit Judge:
In this diversity suit, plaintiff J & H Auto Trim Company, Inc., has been to trial twice seeking recovery from the defendant insurance companies of $280,800; the aggregate amount of coverage provided by five policies issued by the defendants. Both juries rendered verdicts in favor of the plaintiff. A new trial was granted after the first verdict. After the second verdict, the District Court granted a judgment notwithstanding the verdict and, in the alternative, a new trial.
