Petitioner, Thomas Henry Dimery, III (Dimery), was convicted by a Prince George’s County jury of the crimes of rape, attempted murder, assault and battery, and arson. He was sentenced to life imprisonment for rape, to concurrent terms of 20 years each for arson and attempted murder, and to a concurrent term of one year for assault and battery.
