We sua sponte consolidate these three cases only for the purpose of this opinion. In these three consolidated cases, David Shead Huffman raised the same or similar collateral challenge to his convictions and incarceration in several unrelated cases. In various forms, he contends that his sentences for offenses committed in the 1970’s and 1980’s are void and that he must be immediately and forever released because when he was sentenced he was committed to the Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services, Division of Corrections.
