Macri, was charged by indictment with one count of intentional murder (720 ILCS 5/9 — 1(a)(1) (West 1994)), one count of knowing murder (720 ILCS 5/9 — 1(a)(2) (West 1994)), four counts of felony murder (720 ILCS 9 — 1(a)(3) (West 1994)), one count of aggravated criminal sexual assault (720 ILCS 5/12— 14(a)(2) (West 1994)), and one count of unlawful possession of a stolen motor vehicle (625 ILCS 5/4 — 103(a)(1) (West 1994)).
