This is a motion for a writ of mandamus requiring the respondents, who constitute the municipal civil service commission of the city of Mew York, to recertify the relator to the position of medical inspector of the department of health. The relator was a medical inspector in the division of child hygiene and was dismissed from the service by the unanimous vote of the commissioners of health on the 4th day of April, 1911.
