by defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Kings County, rendered October 12, 1973, convicting him of robbery in the first degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence. Judgment reversed, on the law and as a matter of discretion in the interest of justice, and new trial ordered. The trial court erroneously barred cross-examination of the complainant which sought to impair his credibility by establishing bias and prejudice resulting from events which had preceded the incident giving rise to the indictment.
