MEMORANDUM OPINION
FERNANDEZ-BADILLO, District Judge.
This is an action by a longshoreman to recover damages for injuries sustained on board a vessel because of the alleged negligence of the defendants and unseaworthiness of the vessel.
Defendants have alleged in their answer, as an affirmative defense, that at the time of the injury they had subcontracted the loading and unloading operations of the vessel to a stevedoring contractor ; that the plaintiff was employed by said stevedoring contractor in connection with the loading and unloading operations of the vessel which was afloat on navigable…
