MORRIS, District Judge.

This is a bill in equity, filed November 12, 1925, to establish a preference in favor of the United States, as to $2,221.40 of postal funds deposited in the defendant bank and to recover the same.

The People’s Trust Company was incorporated by act of the New Hampshire Legislature, approved May 21, 1913, to be located at Lebanon, N. H., with authority to have and execute all the powers and privileges incident to corporations of a similar nature, for the purpose of prosecuting the business of a safe deposit and trust company; to receive-on deposit, or for safekeeping,…
