On the 6th day of July, 1885, the Knights Templar ⅞ Masons’ Life Indemnity Company issued a policy of insurance upon the life of John B. Berry, wherein it was provided that upon due *512notice and satisfactory proof of the death of'said Berry the company would pay, in 60 days after receipt of such proof, to the children of said Berry, the sum of $5,000, subject to the limitation contained in section 1, art. 7, of the constitution of the corporation. On the 7th day of November, 1889, the said John B. Berry committed suicide, and due notice and proof of his death were given…
