Respondent represents plaintiffs who claim injuries resulting from the use of orthopedic bone screws in the pedi-cles of their spines. Petitioner is a consulting company that assisted the screws’ manufacturer, AeroMed Corporation, in navigating the federal regulatory process for these devices.
