OPINION
DROWOTA, Judge.
This is an appeal by plaintiff, a public figure, from a summary judgment dismissing with prejudice his libel suit against defendant newspaper.
Plaintiff Robert L. Taylor is a well-known attorney, a former Chancellor, and a former judge of the western section of this Court. He once unsuccessfully sought the Democratic nomination for governor of Tennessee. In the spring of 1974, he was an active candidate for the Democratic nomination to the Supreme Court of Tennessee.
