He commenced this action to recover damages sustained as a result of his forced resignation and the publicity which surrounded it. Defendant Meloni is Sheriff of Monroe County. He appeals from an order denying his motion pursuant to CPLR 3211 (subd [a], par 7) to dismiss plaintiff’s cause of action for defamation. Defendant A.R.A.
