Eder Acosta appeals his convictions for malice murder and first-degree cruelty to children in connection with the death of Bryan Guzman.1 Acosta asserts that the trial court erred in admitting the statements he made during his first interview with law enforcement investigators and denying his request to charge the jury on the lesser offense of misdemeanor involuntary manslaughter.
