Cedric McNeil appeals as of right from a Judgment of the Jefferson Circuit Court convicting him of first-degree robbery, Kentucky Revised Statute (KRS) 515.020, and first-degree assault, KRS 508.010. In accord with the jury’s recommendations, *861the trial court sentenced McNeil to consecutive maximum terms of ten years for the former and eighteen years for the latter offense.
