On the 17th day of March, 1906, the grand jury of Pottawatomie county, Okla., returned an indictment against the accused, J. P. Price, charging him with the crime of shooting with intent to kill. On the 22d day of March, of the same year, the defendant was arraigned, and entered a plea of not guilty to said indictment, and on said last-named date the cause was set for trial on' the 26th day of March, 1906, and was then continued to March 27, 1906.…
