OPINION

LEDERBERG, J.

The defendant, Pace Membership Warehouse, Inc. (Pace), 1 has appealed the denial of its motion for a new trial, or alternatively, for remittitur, in this personal injury case in which a total judgment in excess of $300,000 was awarded to the plaintiff, Ralph Sweet (Sweet). On appeal, Pace argued that the trial justice erred by excluding certain evidence of Sweet’s activities following the period of time for which he claimed damages, and also erred by denying Pace’s motion for partial judgment as a matter of law on the issue of Sweet’s claim for lost income.
