In these actions the plaintiff, as administrator of the estates of Mary Lindgren, deceased, and Richard Lindgren, deceased, seeks tO' recover damages from La Crosse county for their deaths by reason of alleged insufficiencies and want of repair of a highway maintained by that county. The deaths occurred when an automobile, which Mrs. Lind-gren was driving on a highway on.an embankment, struck holes in the roadway and ran diagonally down the side of the embankment into' water of such depth that they were drowned.
