*781Plaintiff brought this patent infringement action against Amneal Pharmaceuticals, LLC in 2015. (D.I. 1). At issue in this case are ready-to-use formulations of the compound dexmedetomidine. Dexmedetomidine itself is claimed in U.S. Patent No. 4,910,214 ("the '214 patent"), which is not at issue in this case. The '214 patent issued on March 20, 1990 and expired on July 15, 2013.
