The plaintiff herein has brought an action under article 15 of the Real Property Law to determine the ownership and extent of a parcel of land formerly occupied, and used for school purposes, by School District No. 3 of the Town of Horse-heads, Chemung County. The interests of this school district were taken over by a larger school district, known as Central School District No. 1 of the Towns of Baldwin, Big Flats, Gatlin, Erin, Horseheads and Veteran, Chemung County, and Cayuta, Schuyler County.
