¶ 9. I respectfully dissent from the majority’s decision to affirm the chancellor’s denial of Loftin’s motion to reconsider.

¶ 10. The chancellor abused his discretion by erroneously finding that Loftin waived his public records request by allowing his nonrenewal hearing to proceed. The record reflects that confusion arose in this case between a discovery response and a response to a public records request.
