The Trinity County Lumber Company's employe, Garrison, while in the discharge of his duties as such, was injured on September 11, 1913. He declined to accept the compensation he would have been entitled to under the Texas Workmen's Compensation Law (Acts 33d Leg. c. 179 [Vernon's Sayles' Ann.Civ.St. 1914, arts. 5246h5246zzzz]), claiming that he had a cause of action against that company for a much larger amount as damages, because of its failure to give him the required notice of its having become a subscriber under the terms of that act.
