—In an action to foreclose a mortgage, the defendant Neville Patterson appeals from an order of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Mason, J.), dated March 1, 2000, which denied his motion, inter alia, to vacate a judgment of foreclosure and sale dated July 6, 1998, entered upon his default in answering the complaint.

Ordered that the order is reversed, on the law, with costs, and the matter is remitted to the Supreme Court, Kings County, for further proceedings in accordance herewith.
