In "August, 1888, the plaintiff filed a petition in the district court of Sherman county against the defendant for a divorce, a vinculo matrimonii, for the custody of a child of said parties, and for alimony, and on the trial of the cause a decree was rendered in her favor with alimony in the sum of $6,000, to be paid in installments. The defendant appeals.
