NAHMIAS, Justice.

Appellant Farren Johnson was found guilty but mentally ill of malice murder and other crimes in connection with the shooting death of his stepfather, Clarence Alston. On appeal, his only contention is that the trial court erred when it denied his request to charge the . jury on voluntary manslaughter. Finding no such error, we affirm.
