These cases, which were tried together to a jury and consolidated for purposes of appeal, arose out of an automobile collision with a utility pole on Stratford Avenue in Bridgeport in which three persons were injured and one died as a result of injuries alleged to have been received in the accident. The plaintiffs in the first case are Jon Sumpter, Gerald Bush and Evelyn Nichols, the administratrix of the estate of her deceased son, Gerald Nichols.
