LANIER, Judge.

The defendant, Edwin J. Walters, Jr., was charged by bill of information with possession of cocaine in violation of La.R.S. 40:967(C). Walters entered a plea of not guilty at arraignment. He subsequently filed a motion to suppress the cocaine seized during a search of his person, contending the search was unconstitutional because it was made without a warrant and without probable cause. He also sought suppression of all statements made by him to law enforcement officers involved in his arrest, contending the statements were made under the influence of fear, duress, intimidation,…
