Plaintiff, J. Steven Everett, was dismissed from his employment as a tenured high school teacher by the defendant, Board of Education of District 201, Cook County, Illinois, upon charges and after a hearing held pursuant to The School Code. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1971, ch. 122, sec. 24 — 12.) Plaintiff appealed the Board’s decision to the circuit court of Cook County under the provisions of the Administrative Review Act. (Ill. Rev.
