The parents of Carl Ziegler, a boy fifteen years of age, apply for a writ of habeas corpus. The function of the writ asked for is to require the person in whose behalf it is asked to be brought before the court for determination whether he is unlawfully imprisoned. Carl is held in the Southern Wisconsin Colony and Training School, a state institution, under commitment by the judge of the juvenile court of Milwaukee county.
