This high-profile case involves a constitutional challenge to a Massachusetts law proscribing the sale, transfer, and possession of certain semiautomatic assault weapons and large-capacity magazines (LCMs). See Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 140, §§ 121 , 131M (the Act).
