| defendant, William Danastasio, appeals his convictions by an Orleans parish jury of aggravated rape and aggravated kidnapping. For the reasons that follow, we affirm defendant’s convictions and sentences.

PROCEDURAL BACKGROUND

On January 19, 2011, a grand jury indicted defendant with one count of aggravated rape, a violation of La. R.S. 14:42, and one count of aggravated kidnapping, a violation of La. R.S. 14:44.
