The defendant has appealed from a judgment declaring an oil and gas lease forfeited, and ordering it canceled, as to 180 acres of the 200 acres of land leased, and condemning the defendant to pay the plaintiffs $500 as attorney’s fees.

On the 21st of January, 1920, G. W. Smith, who was and is yet the owner of the land (and from whom the other plaintiffs.in this suit afterwards acquired certain interests in the mineral rights), leased to the defendant Sun Oil Company, Inc. (then called the Sun Company), for the production of oil and gas and other minerals, the 200 acres of land…
