COLEMAN, Justice.
The landowners appeal from a judgment of the circuit court granting an application by the City of Bayou La Batre, a municipal corporation, to acquire by condemnation certain land located within the police jurisdiction but outside the corporate limits of the city.
The city filed its original petition in the probate court. The owners filed demurrer and pleas objecting to the condemnation of their land. After hearing, the probate court granted the application and appointed commissioners who assessed the damages to which the owners were entitled at two thousand dollars. An order…
