This is a civil rights suit, brought under 42 U.S.C. § 1983. The plaintiff is a state prisoner, currently incarcerated at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Center. 1 The plaintiff’s pro se complaint and request to proceed in forma pauperis were received in the clerk’s office on April 21, 1980. Approval to file the complaint was granted by this court on December 18,1980. In February 1982 the plaintiff requested the court to appoint counsel to assist him in pursuing his claims.
