Upon the trial of the case in the county court, the witnesses for appellee testified to the expense incurred for furnishing materials and for finishing the work, and to the damages incurred through the alleged default of the insolvent, without producing the certificate of the architect or explaining its absence. The appellant moved to exclude such testimony, but the same was received over his objection.
