¶ 1. In this divorce case, we address *157whether there is or should be a rule that excludes the value of salable professional goodwill from divisible property. The husband, Tim, is a dentist with an orthodontic practice that he acquired early on in this long-term marriage. Tim argues that the circuit court erred as a matter of law when it treated the professional goodwill portion of the valuation of his practice as divisible property.
