This was a bill filed by the appellee claiming that she was the owner of a certain forty acres of land in Iroquois county; that she purchased the same from Edward Ilurlbut; that Hnrlbnt purchased from Thomas I. Martin; that there was a mortgage upon the records upon said land for $300, given by Martin and wife to E. Sanford, by Sanford assigned to Flanders; and that of said $300, $15 was usury; and asks that she may be allowed to redeem by paying only the alleged §285 principal and interest at six per cent., deducting payments already made.
