FOR THE COURT:
¶ 1. Hamin Shaheed shot and killed his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend during an altercation at his girlfriend’s apartment complex. A Hinds County jury convicted him of first-degree murder, and the circuit judge sentenced him to life in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC), with all but twenty years suspended.
