ERVIN, Justice.

In this case, we consider whether the Court of Appeals erred by vacating and remanding the trial court’s order denying a petition filed by defendant James Kevin Moir seeking termination of the requirement that he register as a sex offender on the grounds that the trial court had erroneously determined that defendant was not eligible to have his registration terminated in light of certain provisions of federal law.
