This was a suit brought by the receiver of the Columbus, Sandusky & Hocking Railroad Company against the Bennett Bros. Humber Company for lake charges advanced by the railroad company on lumber shipped by lake by one Putnam, from Bayfield, Wis., to Sandusky, Ohio (for which it claims a lien), and for certain loading, switching, and storage charges on such lumber. This lumber consisted of 2,000,000 feet, and, belonging to Putnam, was in July, 1896, piled on the docks at Bayfield.
