STATEMENT OF CASE
On March 21, 2001, the State charged the defendant with one count of aggravated burglary, a violation of La. R.S. 14:60, one count of attempt first-degree murder, a violation of La. R.S. 14:(27)30, and one count of forcible rape, a violation of La. R.S. 14:42.1. He pled not guilty at his arraignment on March 28, 2001. At the motions hearing, the court found probable cause and denied the motions to suppress the statements. On May 7, 2001, the court denied the defense motion to sever.
