delivered the opinion oe the court:

The appellee, Pat. Murray, sued the appellant, Elizabeth Donahue, before a justice of the peace of Jefferson county, for damages laid at ninety dollars, for imputed slander; and having recovered judgment for fifty dollars and costs, she appealed to the court of common pleas of said county, which dismissed her appeal for supposed want of jurisdiction; and this appeal to this court brings up that judgment of dismission for revision.
