BILLINGH, District Judge.

This is a suit in admiralty, brought by an employe of a stevedore, who was unloading the Para at the port of New Orleans, for injuries suffered by him through the defect in the tackle used in the unloading. The pleadings are as follows: The averments of the libel, in substance, are that, while libel-ant, on the 3d of July, 1890, was engaged in unloading (he Para, and was in charge of the lever and brake controlling the winch used in such unloading, flu shackle and ai t a chinent holding the block or lower pulley broke loose from its fastenings, striking libelant,…
