Hines, Justice.

Larry Don Pittman appeals his conviction for the malice murder of Karen Gazaway. He challenges the trial court’s refusal to suppress his inculpatory statement to police, and the trial court’s denial of a new trial based upon claims that the statement was illegal and that trial counsel was ineffective in attempting to suppress it. Finding the challenges to be without merit, we affirm.
