LABORDE, Judge.

Plaintiff, James R. Davis, doing business as Davis Construction Co., filed suit against the Natchitoches Parish School Board (School Board) claiming that he was the low bidder on a School Board construction project, yet he was not awarded the contract for that project. He claimed that his lost profits should have been recoverable from the School Board. The School Board answered denying liability and claiming that plaintiff's damages were caused by his own fault.
