It was a dark December night in the parking lot adjacent to Chilkoot Charlie’s Saloon. A woman, whom we shall refer to as Jane Doe, was seated there in her car waiting for a friend to join her. She had just gotten off work at a Quik Stop grocery store. A man approached, opened the door of Jane’s car, and asked for a cigarette. A little later he returned.
